Happy Valentine's Day!
We had another busy day here today! This morning Jack and Grandma went to storytime while I went to my meeting. When we were all done, we went to lunch and ran errands. After that, it was time for some goodies!
Our finished cupcakes on the stand I got for Christmas. I didn't look at the box and see that it was for 13 cupcakes, so I used the rest of the batter for little loaves. Oh, well.

Baking Day
Baking day, it's baking day!
Baking day, it's baking day!
No, it's not booty shaking day,
Today's the day we bake!

Well, really we only baked for part of the day, but I had to use that song again because we finally got it on CD tonight. Jay and I once had a conversation that went like this:
Me: I would have really liked The Backyardigans when I was little.
Jay: When you were little?
Me: Ummmm...and now.

Me: Ummmm...and now.
Anyway, on to our day!
This morning Grandma came to visit and we babysat for my friend. There are no pictures because I was constantly holding a child. : ) Afterwards, we went out to eat and then did some shopping.
The weather was nice when we were done with errands, so we went to the park for a while.
And when we got back, we started the baking. We made cupcakes for ourselves and lots of cookies for my meeting tomorrow. In fact, some are still in the oven right now!

Pancake Day!
More Museums
Jack has been in a museum mood. I guess all that's left in the rotation is history and art, so maybe those will pop up here before too long!
The first stop is ALWAYS the children's room, though today he did try to get a peek at the new exhibit they are building. He wanted me to take a picture of every drawer he pulled out. Here are the moccasins.

He can't get enough of these little circles you can pull on. (His eye looks funny from the red-eye correction.)

The trip was a fairly short one since they have two areas shut down for new exhibits, but he still had a great time!

Tons of Stuff on Tuesday
**Hello! This post was written more than 6 years ago, but thanks to Pinterest, people still stumble across it from time to time. If you would like the printables for the Laundry Letter Match, you can find them on the Workboxables page at Homeschool Share! Just look for Laundry Patterns!
Today was a busy day! I'm going to do a couple of other posts to break it up, but I'll start with stuff here at home...
This is what my morning is probably going to look like. We are babysitting for a friend, so she brought her son over to get used to it before tomorrow. Jack thought he was the greatest and wanted to do everything he did. He must like him a lot, because tonight he asked where the baby was going to sleep at our house!

This evening he had some dinner and played with dinosaurs. We watched a show (Cyberchase, of course!) and then it was time for bed!

Later, Jack calmed down enough (briefly) to play an ABC matching game. He started with a laundry basket...
and he tried matching the capital and lowercase letters. He did pretty well, but the clothespins were a little tricky.
Even Boris got in on the game.

Captain Undercover
This morning we (finally) dropped a trunk full of stuff off at Goodwill and then did the grocery shopping. When we got home Jack wanted to paint his "P" that he has been begging to paint for a while, so we got that done.
He got to watch his special movie, too. This week: Rotten Ralph. Awesome. (Please ignore the huge mess on the desk.)
Since we were going out this evening, Jack took an afternoon bath. He got a big kick of trying to drink out of the faucet.
Then it was off to my friend Rachel's for dinner. This week's meal was breakfast. My close up pictures of him turned out blurry, so you'll just have to trust me when I tell you that he actually ate several little smokies.
Jack LOVES dogs. He kept asking me to make sure I got a picture of him and the dog. Tonight as he was going to sleep he asked what we would do if his dog (he is convinced he will have one) dug holes in the yard and made him slip in the holes. Maybe we will be able to talk him out of this dog thing after all.
There's nothing like a little Tom and Jerry to put the kids in a trance.
So that was our day. Now it's off to clean and watch a little more Dexter!
