Week Four

I had to check and see what week of quarantine this was before I posted...I've lost track!  But we're still staying busy!  The Food Showdown, one of the annual county 4H events, has been canceled for the year, so our educator held a virtual cooking contest.  The kids had to make something using only what was in their pantry and then turn in the recipe and a picture.

The kids entered a Lion's Mane Omelet!

They didn't win the contest, but I found out they can make a pretty good omelet, so I feel like I won.  ha!

Our weather has been either sunny and beautiful or gray and chilly.  Last Tuesday was beautiful, so we went for a walk.

Jack spotted a 918 Rock in a tree!

 The huge full moon!

A large chunk of time last week was spent making masks.  I have a pretty good set up and watched quite a bit of Columbo while I sewed.

I think I've made around 55 masks at this point.

Alice made this pie chart that cracked me up!

 Friday we colored Easter eggs.

 I love this strawberry!

This egg can be happy or sad, depending on which way you turn it!

Can you tell what celebrity this is supposed to be?

 Mummies Alive eggs by Jack.

I think Hobo is loving getting so much play time now!

 Easter pic--more later!

We brought out Master Detective Clue on Easter afternoon.

And we wrapped up Week Four by celebrating this guy's first birthday last night!

I'm still doing fine with being home so much, but I am looking forward to getting out more soon hopefully!  I'm itching for a good road trip!

Week Three

Week 3 already?  Sometimes this seems like it's been going on for ages, but other times the days fly by.  Maybe last week went quickly because we had several outings.  Tuesday we went to pick up Alice's next math book.

Wednesday was my nephew's 18th birthday so we made a donut delivery.

The kids also made signs for the yard!

Wednesday afternoon the kids also played a fun game with friends on Zoom.

Thursday we had these muffins for breakfast because it was...

...Peanut Butter and Jelly Day!  I'm glad I had picked this calendar up at Five Below because it's given us some fun things to celebrate while we're at home.

The kids modeled their masks--though I'm making Alice a smaller one now.

Saturday they wrote some letters to friends.

Alice has been video calling with friends quite a bit.  When she stepped away, Tycho decided to take her place.

Saturday Alice lost her next to last baby tooth!

Sunday we made some up some packages.

 Delivery service!

Tycho became part of a puppet show.

Slime has made a return to our house!

Did I mention masks?  I might be able to do this in my sleep now...  These went to my sister in law, who works for Baptist Village.

 Zoom Spanish class

For some reason Blogger won't let me type below this picture...Anyway, we had some leftover grass seed from the terrariums they made, so we made a Resurrection Garden--something I've had in the back of my mind to do since I saw it on Pinterest years ago.  It's nice to finally get to some projects!

Week Two

We've now been in for two weeks and it's surprising how busy we still seem to be!  I spent several days sewing masks.

I've gotten 15 done so far, which have gone to Jay's clinic and to a friend's daughter who is an EMT.  I have a few more half done that will go to a 4H mom who works for a hospice.

 Wednesday was Waffle Day!

Thursday we had a grocery pick up scheduled so we got some lunch while we were out.

We also had a curbside pick up for craft supplies!  I was so excited.  (I'm making this free pattern from one of my favorite designers.)

Alice is having dance classes over Zoom, so we cleared the living room for her class.

Not surprisingly there have been lots of pictures of cats taken while we're with them all the time.  They definitely keep us entertained.  (Tycho is on top of the laundry room cabinets in this one.)

We worked on this project for World Theater Day on Friday.

I was having trouble with my sewing machine, so my mom and dad came by to do a porch drop off of my mom's machine.  Thanks to Facebook advice I was able to get mine going again!

We had beautiful weather this weekend!  My little tree is finally turning purple!

Saturday evening we made an impromptu visit to our friends and visited from a socially acceptable distance.  It was fun!

 We also stopped for Andy's!

We usually go to my mom and dad's for Sunday dinner so since the weather was nice we brought Billy Sims and had a distant picnic.

 Sunshine and sweet kids!

Alice picked some flowers for us while we were there.

Yesterday was rainy, but that didn't stop them from going outside.

Jack and I read on the porch while Alice played in the rain more.

We also finished up our Shakespeare projects.  I love how these turned out!

Our terrariums we planted last week grew a lot!  This is how they looked a few days after planting.

And this is how they look now!  We've caught the cats trying to eat the grass more than once!
