January 19 is National Popcorn Day! Okay, maybe this is not the most legitimate holiday on the calendar, but it's a good reason to eat some popcorn. This afternoon we read Tomie dePaola's The Popcorn Book. I had this idea that when I went to WalMart this morning I would find about seven different varieties of popcorn for us to try. I don't know why I thought that. I came back with three:
Butter
Cheddar
Cracker Jacks
Maybe the Cracker Jacks were a stretch, but I was just wanting something simple, and they're just so tasty. Jack liked the butter flavor the best, I liked the Cracker Jacks, and Jay liked the cheddar.After we chose our favorite kinds, we settled in for a new movie! Happy Popcorn Day!
