The Christmas Room

 Last week the kids decided they would like to decorate their room for Christmas.  I helped them hang some lights and bought them a pack of posterboard and they got busy.

 They did such a good job!

 I love all of their posters and decorations!

I think this is my favorite room in the house now.  I could hang out and read under the Christmas lights all day!

Sewing

 Alice went to sewing camp over the summer, but with the move and everything else we've had going on, she hasn't gotten much sewing in lately.  There were several kids sewing classes added to the schedule over the last few weeks, so the kids have had some fun making things!

 They made stuffies in one class.

 Jack had never really done anything like this before and he really enjoyed it.

 They did a great job!

 They also took a drawstring bag class.

 These are really nice bags!

Saturday they went to a Christmas ornament class, so we have these two little birds on our tree!

They have another really cool class coming up right after Christmas, too!

Christmas Parties!

 The last couple of weeks we have had the kids' 4H Christmas parties!

 The big kids played some fun minute to win it type games.

 They also did a musical chairs game that got pretty funny.

 At the Cloverbuds party they made a cute snowman craft.

 Santa and Mrs. Claus came to the party, too.

They both enjoyed their parties.  There are some fun things coming up in the next couple of months that they are excited about, too!

Winter Dance Performance

 Alice had her winter dance performance last week!

 The song/dance they did was too long to add here, but they did a great job!

Ice Skating

 We go roller skating pretty often, but my kids had never been ice skating until a few weeks ago when we went to the Devon Ice Rink in Oklahoma City.  I think that the switch to roller blades really helped Jack take to it right away!

 Alice hadn't tried roller blades before, so there was more of a learning curve for her.

 It didn't take long before they were both out there having fun!  (I stayed right by the edge the whole time since I figured it was important for the driver to not have any broken bones!)

 It was such a pretty setting!

When we were done we spent some time in the gardens before heading back to the hotel!

Gorillas

 Do you like to look at pictures of gorillas?  If not, just skip this post because that's pretty much all it is.

 We got to the zoo early last week and went to see the gorillas.  I think this was the best view we've ever gotten of them!

 We loved watching the mama and baby.

 Then dad came along...

 And big brother...

 Dad took some time to pick his nose.

 We had such a good view!

We had so much fun to see the little ones.  When we rode the carousel later, Alice made sure to get the gorilla!
