The Pumpkin Patch

Somehow over the last few years we have really gotten into going to the pumpkin patch!  There are a lot of neat ones here and we try to visit all of our favorites each year.  Yesterday we kicked off pumpkin patch season with a trip to Carmichael's.

It's always fun to check out the odd little ones!

The kids love to feed the animals!

These four camels thought Jack was wonderful and did not want to leave him alone!

Every time he tried to feed one, they would all put their necks out as far as they could.  It was really funny!

And they have to ride the ponies!  We joked that soon Jack's legs are going to be dragging the ground!

 Happy fall!

Alice Loses a Tooth!

It's taken me a while to get to this post, but I figured I'd better hurry because she already has two more teeth that are loose!

In August Alice realized her tooth was loose and she worked hard to get it to come out.

 Finally, she got serious.

One end tied to the tooth, the other end tied to the remote control car.  What could go wrong?

It turns out, it's not as easy as you would think!

Just in case, Jack made her sign a waiver.

Finally, on a trip to the storage unit, it came out!

She had so much string tied so tightly around it!

Stillwater

During the week after we moved, we took some road trips!  First up was Stillwater, and of course, that meant lunch at Eskimo Joes!

After that, we spent the afternoon at the Wondertorium.

It's always fun when friends go with us!

Before heading back we stopped at Smallcakes, a yummy cupcake shop in town.

Notice how Jack looks a little worn out?  The day we closed he started getting sick, so I took him in and he tested negative for strep.  He still seemed draggy, so the next week (after several road trips and starting school...) I took him back in and he tested positive for mono!  Poor kid!  Thankfully it didn't take long after that for him to feel like his normal self!

Summer Fun

Since tomorrow is the first day of fall, I thought I'd better get around to finally posting about some of the fun things we did this summer!  One night we had a campout in our closet!

 Even Bobey joined in!

 Ready for church

CherryBerry had all you can fill yogurt cups, so of course we had to go!

We went to see The Lego Movie at the Farmer's Market and the kids got bags with little Lego chalk men.

 Swimming at Aunt Shannon's

We spent quite a bit of time at the city pool this summer!

Boris likes to sleep right by my head at night.

One afternoon Jack and I went to see the Lego Brickumentary together.

The last day in the children's and preschool departments before the move up--How did my babies get so big?!

Alice started dance again.  This year she is in a homeschool class!

After closing on our house, we went to Incredible Pizza for dinner.  Do we look as exhausted as we felt?

 Dessert at CherryBerry!

One day the kids stopped for some cake at the monthly birthday party at my grandma's apartment building and they ended up on the announcement board.

We miss our old neighbors very much, so we've been back to visit several times--and of course, the kids visit the dogs, too.

This year the Zarrow Award winner was Sharon Draper.

 It was SO hot!

The kids went to a tennis class at the community center.

Alice said she was Wonder Woman.

About two weeks ago our old neighbors gave the kids Dogopoly.  This game is still going on!!

The youth group kicked off the school year with a color war!

Fun at the children's museum!

With the move, this summer flew by!  Hopefully soon I can catch up on some more posts about some of the fun trips we've taken lately!
