As of today, all of the big school districts in the area are back in class, including the one we follow the most with our calendar. To celebrate, we went to the splash pad.
The weather was great and there were only little kids and homeschoolers.

We traditionally take the last week or two of August and possibly the first week of September (depending on where Labor Day falls) for our family vacation just for that reason...all the public schoolers are back in school and only homeschoolers are at all the places we go. It is wonderful and we rejoice and revel in the fact that we are Not-Back-To-School. :)
