If I had to sum up what we've been doing lately in two words, they would be: Fashion Revue.
We got started back during Spring Break. Even though I still remembered last year, we decided to make a dog costume--from the same pattern, no less!
It's the hats that are the hard part!
We did finally make friends with the machines at the clubhouse!
The cape took about 10% of the time and the rest was on that hat!
Alice worked hard, too!
She made a cute drawstring bag at the clubhouse and made a skirt at home.
The kids did take breaks to play...
...and make creatures from the notions...
...and drink coffee. We spent some long evenings there!
It was worth it, though!
Buddy was nice enough to be the model this year.
Boris was a willing tester for the pet beds the kids made for the recycled category!
Last Friday was the Fashion Revue. Alice was wearing her skirt, drawstring bag, and a mirror bag she made.
Jack always does a great job of telling the judges about his items.
First place! And he actually had two other competitors this year!
The Cloverbuds judge did a really nice job of telling the kids lots of positive things about their items!
Jack explained how he made his dog bed--if you saw the video on Facebook a few months ago where they put an old pillow inside an old sweater, that's what we did and thwy turned out great!
The judge really liked the French seams Alice used on her skirt. They looked very nice!
After the judging was over, the kids walked in the fashion show. They did such a great job!
