We took a little road trip today!
Our destination was the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum, or as it's often called, The Cowboy Hall of Fame. I'm not sure how it happened, but we had never been there before today. We went as a go-along for our Frederic Remington artist study (more on that another time) but you can't take pictures of those. You can, however, take pictures in the children's building, which is where we spent much of our time!
Alice worked on conquering her cactus phobia from the last road trip.
They had dress-up items for the kids!
Alice loved playing in this cabin and cooking over the fire. She liked it even more when Jack pointed out that the sign over the door said, "June's Cabin"--and then she didn't want him to come in.

The grounds are beautiful and we spent a lot of time outside, too!

I heard a Cowboy Poet (can't remember his name!) at the Cowboy Hall of Fame once. It was really neat!
I have not been since I had kids and did not even know they had a children's area! Thanks for the tip! We have been learning about Oklahoma history this month, I will have to check it out really soon!
