Jack conquered his old play area nemesis, The Doghouse, today. Since he was probably 2 years old he has been dying to climb on top of the doghouse, but he just couldn't quite get it. We had reached a compromise that when it was time to go I would put him on the top a couple of times so he could jump off. Today, though, he had a plan.I couldn't quite decide whether I should laugh at the plan or scream, because the sight of him hurling himself toward the house looked funny, but it did make me a little nervous. In the end I decided that the house was pretty foamy so he probably couldn't get hurt too much.
Once he had it figured out, there was no stopping him. It was climb, fling, jump, repeat for about half an hour.
There was no success with the helmet this time, but he did seem to be making some progress.
After all that fun, we went for some lunch.
Not to be outdone, Bobe conquered the wrapping paper roll.
This evening we set up the water table. After the ice storm we have half a shade tree to play under.
